Sea Turtles

Turtles have always been one of my favorite sea creatures. This relatively simple design is made much more intricate by the shell and scale patterns sandblasted onto the glass. All of the sandblasting is hand stenciled, so every piece is unique.

Bugs

An entomology class in college turned me on to insects and other bugs and since then I've been fascinated by their anatomy and behavior. My favorite bug is the ant, but I'm starting to explore other creepy crawly forms.

Flowers

My first entry into sculpture was a crab, albeit a very poorly made one. Since then, I have made progress on improving the design to make construction easier, but I have yet to perfect this form.

Turns out things with lots of legs are hard to make!

Crustaceans

One of the first forms a glass artist learns is the standard drinking glass which can be modified into an entire collection of functional art, including cups, pitchers, vases, bowls and plates. From there, every piece can be enhanced with a wide variety of colors.

Pieces with a sense of humor are often a goal of mine, and I create just that with my flowers. Each flower has a surprising amount of personality despite lacking any facial features. Every one is mounted in a ceramic pot to complete the piece.

Seasonal

What's the holiday season without some hand blown ornaments? These colorful orbs will add a spalsh of color to your home and perhaps your Christmas tree! They can be made in a number of color combinations to fit any decor.

Along with sea turtles and crustaceans, I've played with other marine forms such as fish and jellies. These highly colorful (and sometimes glow-in-the-dark) pieces are fun to make and always fascinate those who love sea creatures as much as I do.
